F-Stop Drive. Volume 1.
My family and I made the move to the Pacific Northwest last November - Walla Walla, Washington, to be exact. This past Saturday, with my girls in Maui, I decided to spend a day driving around, exploring the surrounding areas, and a few cameras.
Three hours and a few random stops into driving, I spotted a bunch of cattle along the highway. I slowed down and thought about making a frame, but kept going. A hundred yards down the road I spotted a truck with a trailer full of hay, it was feeding time.
I flipped around and when the rancher got out of the truck, I asked if I could photograph feeding time for the cattle - he was good with it. I tell you, there’s nothing like building up the courage to ask someone if I can take some photos and they give me the green light.
It’s been a while since I’ve been photographing anything to do with agriculture - years, maybe when I lived in Michigan in 2014, but definitely when I lived in Montana.
Anyway, here are a few images I made during my drive. I’m hoping to get back out to the ranch soon.
